The Benefits of Rest Mats at Daycares
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009All daycares should provide rest mats for children during nap time. This ensures a more comfortable and relaxed nap for the child. It also gives each child their own space to sleep in reducing any feeling of being crowded. A rest mat could also greatly influence the child’s behavior and health. Using rest mats would allow a pleasant nap for children. This would make it easier to fall asleep, stay asleep, and wake up feeling refreshed and alert. It would reduce behavioral problems that would result from a uncomfortable nap or restlessness. A good nap also keeps the body healthier and more prepared to fight off sicknesses. Rest mats are an excellent addition to any daycare and the alertness of the children after a nap on these would increase participation in later activities as well as increase productive activity at home.
